Purpose Preoperative hand antisepsis in healthcare professionals to inactivate microorganisms (normal and transient flora) present on the hands and forearms. Skin cleanser for preoperative skin preparation, general skin cleanser for patients; surgical scrub and antiseptic hand rinse for healthcare personnel. Patient preoperative skin preparation, surgical hand scrubbing, healthcare personnel hand hygiene and general skin cleansing.
Working Principle
Warnings, Precautions, Recommendations For external use only, avoid contact with the eyes, ears, or mouth. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep out of eyes, ears, and mouth. Do not routinely apply to wounds that involve more than superficial layers of skin. Do not use if you have allergies to chlorhexidine gluconate. Avoid contact with meninges (i.e., do not use on lumbar puncture sites).
Ingredients Chlorhexidine gluconate 4%, benzalkonium chloride, didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, vitamin E, antioxidants, surfactants, lubricants, moisturizers, lanolin, glycerin, and Ro water.

Application Surgical scrub: Scrub hands and forearms with 6 mL soap for 3 minutes paying close attention to nails, cuticles, and interdigital spaces, and rinse thoroughly. Apply a second dose 6 mL and scrub the hands and forearms for an additional 3 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with running water and dry with a sterile towel.
Hand antisepsis: Wash with 6 mL soap for 15 seconds; rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
